VIDEO: Quick Pilates Triad Ball Routine for When You’re Feeling Crunchy

Feeling stiff, compressed and a little “crunchy”? TPR NYC owner Alison Johnson leads you through this quick Pilates mat routine using a Triad Ball to help you gently open, align and decompress your spine and neck.

In this video, we’ll move through simple, intentional exercises that combine light core work with hip opening and spinal release—designed to help you move more easily through your day. This is a great reset when you’ve been sitting or traveling.

Don’t have a Triad Ball? No problem. You can substitute a small fitness ball or even a lightly inflated ball from a toy store—just let some air out so it has a bit of “squish.”

By the end of this short routine, you’ll feel less stiff, more aligned, and ready to move through the rest of your day with ease.

What you’ll get from this routine:

  • Gentle spinal and neck decompression

  • Light core activation without strain

  • Hip opening to reduce stiffness

  • A quick reset when your body feels crunchy or compressed
